Friday 7 – Monday 10 September
David Ruston will present a magnificent floral display highlighting the progression and changing styles of floral design over the years. David and Danny Hoffman, also from Renmark, will conduct flower arranging demonstrations on the ABC Radio Goyder Stage on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. tafeSA Floristry students will compete to win the Student’s ‘People’s Choice’ Competition. Florists from all over Adelaide will present their signature floral designs. Vote for your favourite design in the ‘People’s Choice’ Florist Competition and you could win a $200 voucher to spend with the florist of your choice.
Adelaide Hill’s flower growers, Kidman Flower Co., Jong’s Flowers and Blumberg Flowers will present beautiful displays of Australian Natives, Liliums, Carnations, Alstroemerias and Chrysanthemums. Ange Kidman will run workshops continuously on Saturday8 & Sunday 9 September assisting all to make beautiful native flower bouquets that are yours for free.
Displays will be presented by the SA Iris Society, Ikebana Society, Cactus & Succulent Society and the Australian Plant Society.
Tuesday 11 – Saturday 15 September
Florists and Floral Artists from all over South Australia will construct their competition exhibits on Tuesday 11 September between 9am and 2pm. Judging will take place at 2pm. Daily Floral Art demonstrations on the ABC Radio Goyder Stage will be given by members of the Floral Design Council of South Australia. Free, ‘Make & Take’ Activities will take place Friday 14 and Saturday 15 September. Showgoers will learn how to condition and prepare a gift flower or how to make jewellery using fresh flowers
